| John Boyd |
John Boyd is the CEO of Banker Exchange, LLC. In 1992, John opened the doors to Boyd Corporation, South Carolina's leading full-service qualified intermediary firm, assisting investors in the deferral of capital gains taxes by utilizing the exchange process to structure transactions varying in complexity. Since 1994 he has aided clients with their replacement property decisions, analyzing net leased property and other real estate opportunities along the way. According to John, he "began Boyd Corporation because there was a lack of QI services available to southeastern investment property owners". In 2007, he rolled Boyd Corporation into Banker Exchange and now serves as the chief executive officer for the company.
A graduate of Furman University, John has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, holds a South Carolina real estate license, his CPA designation and has been designated a Certified Exchange Specialist by the Federation of Exchange Accommodators. Prior to the creation of Boyd Corporation and TIC Properties he was in private tax practice. He has also worked with J.C. Bradford & Co. as a retail investment broker where he acquired both series 7 and 63 licenses, and with Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the Southeast's largest accounting firms. Currently, he is contributing to the growth and furtherance of the industry by serving on the Ethics Committee for the Tenant-In-Common Association. |
