| Peter Byford |
Mr. Byford is the President of Banker Exchange, LLC. In his position he oversees the operations and marketing efforts for the company. He also serves as a technical advisor to the Company's Exchange Administrators.
Prior to joining Banker Exchange, Pete was a tax and corporate attorney with the law firm of Leatherwood Walker Todd & Mann, P.C., where he advised business clients with respect to all aspects of their business operations. In addition to serving as counsel for commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions on behalf of his clients, he often assisted them in the structuring and coordination of tax-deferred exchanges of real and personal property. Pete is a frequent speaker on a variety of tax topics including Section 1031 Exchanges and related tax deferral strategies.
Pete received his LLM in taxation from the University of Denver and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is also a graduate of the Citadel with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.
In additional to enjoying time with his wife, Jenn, and their two children, Pete is actively involved in the thriving Greenville Community. He sits on the Board of For Our Children, a local support organization for many children's charities. Additionally, he was recently named the Treasurer of the Advisory Board to the Salvation Army of Greenville and serves as the Chair of their Kroc Community Center Operations Committee. |
